Leave it to social justice warriors and rabid anti-Trump protesters to abuse and sabotage any attempt of President Trump’s at actually helping the American people, as trolls abused a recently activated hotline for victims to report instances of illegal immigrant crime.
Following up on his promise during a speech to Congress in March and executive order on illegal immigration, President Trump’s new hotline for victims of illegal immigrant crime to have an outlet to report their stories to opened up earlier this week. The hotline was part of Trump’s VOICE (Victims Of Immigration Crime Engagement) program, which aimed to give victims a “voice” where they previously were met with silence under the administration of Barack Obama.
The administration set up the Victims of Immigration Crime Engagement (VOICE) Office on Wednesday, in accordance with President Trump’s executive order in January. The office, folded within the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, aims to “assist victims of crimes committed by criminal aliens,” according to the Department of Homeland Security.
All crime is terrible, but these victims are unique — and too often ignored,” said Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly in announcing the office. “They are casualties of crimes that should never have taken place—because the people who victimized them often times should not have been in the country in the first place.”
The hotline will also serve as a resource for “victims to receive public information,” an ICE official told The Atlantic.
Advocates of open borders and illegal immigration took to twitter and encouraged others to call the VOICE hotline, not to report actual instances of crime, but instead to make a joke out previous victims and their lost loved ones.
Wouldn’t it be a shame if millions of people called this hotline to report their encounters with aliens of the UFO-variety. https://t.co/Cl048Gihnk

The above hotline abuser seems to have confused his vintage sci-fi cartoons, as Voltron isn’t a planet, but instead a series of robots that merged together into a bigger robot in order to fight the forces of evil in the universe.
A spokesperson for ICE reported that the prank calls was in fact impacting hold times and urged opponents to make their voices heard using another outlet, but something tells me his plea will have little impact on these trolls.
It’s unclear how many people actually placed calls to the hotline, and several Twitter users reported long wait times to get through. But the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency suggested it had impacted their service. “There are certainly more constructive ways to make one’s opinions heard than to prevent legitimate victims of crime from receiving the information and resources they seek because the lines are tied up by hoax callers,” a spokesperson told Buzzfeed News
The silver lining to this story is that despite the wall not yet being build, ranchers are reporting that illegal border crossings are down 90% since Trump has become president, which is good news for those seeking justice and a lawful country.
I can’t help but wonder what the reaction would be if a hotline was set up by Barack Obama for illegal immigrants to call when they felt they were victims of “racism”, and conservatives took to social media to make a mockery of it. I have a feeling that the liberal media outlets would be casting shame left and right upon them, but as you can imagine, leftist new websites only celebrated these anti-Trump trolls.
