A common phrase among supporters of Donald Trump since the election has been “Christmas came early” in the form of a victory for the silent majority the likes we haven’t seen a generation, but the greatest gifts for our country are yet to come.
Voters from all party affiliations, backgrounds and beliefs came together for a single cause this election year (despite Bill Clinton claiming that it was mostly “angry white men” who gave Trump his victory) and succeeded in placing a man into office that every establishment, media and pollster personality said could never win.
As Donald Trump often says, “This is a movement, and I’m just the messenger.” Trump couldn’t be more right in this sense, as the silent majority finally found a voice to carry their message straight to the heart of Washington D.C. and to the politicians who have long forgotten them. The real winners this year have been the people. Even those who didn’t vote for Trump and still think he’s “literally Hitler” will benefit from Trump’s America First policies and job creation goals. Sadly, many liberals will hold on to their hatred and bitterness even when they start to see their own lives improve under his leadership.
In only 27 days, Donald Trump will be officially sworn into office and our nation will embark on an unprecedented journey with experienced business minded leaders at the helm. It’s an exciting time to be a part of this great nation and the movement that has swept us to this moment.
This Christmas season as you gather with friends and family to exchange gifts, remember that the greatest gift of all has yet to be unwrapped. A gift so large, that it will take the next 4 to 8 years to fully understand its meaning and impact on our lives, country and futures. If the time since Trump has been President-elect is any indication of what’s to come under his leadership, we are in for a complete rebirth of national pride, a massive influx of high paying middle-class jobs and the complete restructuring of our government into an institution that puts American interests first for a change.
To everyone who feels that Christmas came early this year, you may be saying that phrase much earlier in 2017 when Donald Trump starts the process of building his border wall and putting other “America First” policies into play that he has promised the nation.
Have a safe and Merry Christmas everyone. And to you liberals who hate Christmas and think it should be banned from society and replaced with some sort of generic “winter holiday”, have a VERY Merry Christmas!
