I guess the negative press and scenes of convention goers booing Debbie Wasserman Schultz was too much for the DNC, and they finally have decided she will no longer be starting off the day this week. Typically the chair of the DNC, or RNC, will start and end the convention each day by gaveling. Even though Debbie announced she was stepping down from her position after the convention, she was still being allow to present, but not anymore.
It’s ok Debbie, you have a nice cushy job waiting for you afterwards as Hillary Clinton is hiring you as an honoring chair of her campaign. If Clinton wins, I’m sure you will have a nice position in her administration as well, so you’ll always land on your feet as long as you stay loyal to Hillary.
Breitbart News reports:
Former Democratic National Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz has announced that she will not gavel in the Democratic convention in Philadelphia today.
“I have decided that in the interest of making sure that we can start the Democratic convention on a high note that I am not going to gavel in the convention,” Wasserman Schultz said in an interview with the Florida Sun Sentinel.
Wasserman Schultz announced she would step down from her position as chairman of the DNC on Sunday, after leaked emails from the committee showed that staffers openly criticized Hillary Clinton’s opponent Bernie Sanders.
Washerman Schultz said she stepped down because she wanted to avoid distractions from the convention nominating Clinton as their presidential nominee.
On Monday, Wasserman Schultz’s speech to the Florida delegation was met with boos from angry protesters, making it difficult for her to speak.
