This video is absolutely hilarious, and relates to current times on so many different levels. It’s a video showing a guest on an Arab TV show after reading the book, The People vs. Muhammad. The book outlines the founding tenants of Islam and the history of Muhammad, citing the Quran and other historical documents. Although its been banned in many Muslim countries, this video shows what happens when a guest reads the book and decides to renounce his faith on television.
I think my favorite quote from this guest is:
“We’ve been fools to believe in flying donkeys! The man (Muhammad) believed he rode a flying donkey!”
Although this one is a close second:
“The whole religion was imagined by Muhammad – a small, insecure fool, the guy had sex with a 9 year old girl and suffered with schizophrenia…Muhammad believed sewer water was acceptable to bath in!”
Yes, I realize this video was put together to promote The People vs. Muhammad book, but it’s really good for a laugh and actually gets you thinking about the questions surrounding Muhammad and his motivation for starting the religion of Islam. Is Islam a “religion of peace”? Was Muhammad the true and final prophet of God? Is the Quran the fulfillment of the Bible, and legitimately continuing the traditions of the Judeo-Christian scriptures?
