Yesterday, Wikileak’s founder Julian Assange was on the Sean Hannity Radio Show for an interview to discus the DNC leaks, Podesta emails and accusations of Russian hackers influencing the election.
Hannity points out several times throughout the interview that in the 10 years since Wikileak’s founding, they have never been proved wrong, inaccurate or incorrect on their various releases and have never jeopardized their sources.
During the interview yesterday, they touched on issues of the Russian hacker narrative and the CIA being politicized in an attempt to tarnish the presidency of Donald Trump, as well as pushing complete falsehoods in regards to “overwhelming evidence” of Russian interference in the election.
Hannity asks Assange, “Do you think the president knows, as you do, that the source was not Russia for Wikileaks, and do you believe the president is purposefully advancing this for political purposes to delegitimize Donald Trump?”
Assange responds quickly by stating, “Yes.” He continues by saying, “It’s clear to look at the statements by James Clapper (noting that he made a statement that the US intelligence is not aware of when [Wikileaks] received the materials or how. It’s pretty clear that he (Obama) is getting those briefings as well if they public is getting them.”
Hannity states that it wouldn’t be the first time that the CIA was politicized, referencing the false narrative that was pushed after the Bengahzi attack regarding the reason for it being a “Youtube video”.
Julian Assange also touches on the misleading polls, both during the Brexit campaign and the U.S. election, mentioning that the mainstream media was pressured to make people feel a sense of shame for voting for Donald Trump.
Assange also said that Wikileak’s intent is never to be bias towards one political party or government over another, but they literally only had a total of 3 pages of information on the RNC, versus the thousands of incriminating emails from the DNC that were rife with scandal.
Finally, at the very end of the interview, Julian Assange “slips up”, as Hannity puts it, and alludes to the fact that the DNC and Podesta leaks came from within the Democratic party or government from dissatisfied members.
HANNITY: “Would you have published the same thing if it was about Donald Trump?”
ASSANGE: “Absolutely. I have no problem doing that, and if Donald Trump makes a lot of enemies on the inside, during his time in office, then he could well face the same thing in 4 years time.”
HANNITY: “By the way, this is the best indication that this didn’t come from the Russians, I don’t think you meant to say that, but Julian I do appreciate your time.”
And if that doesn’t convince you that the Russians had nothing to do with these email leaks, Assange came right out and stated that their source was not the Russian government.
Wikileaks founder Julian Assange denied Thursday that hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta were stolen and passed to his organization by Russian state actors.
“Our source is not the Russian government,” Assange told “The Sean Hannity Show.”
“So in other words, let me be clear,” Hannity asked, “Russia did not give you the Podesta documents or anything from the DNC?”
“That’s correct,” Assange responded.
The mainstream media keeps referring to these email breaches as “hacks”, but according to Julian Assange, they could more accurately be referred to as “leaks”, since he strongly suggests that they came from inside the DNC, most likely from secret supporters of Bernie Sanders who felt the DNC was treating him unfairly, which they in fact were doing just that.
