CNN has once again found itself at the center of a journalistic scandal, as they threatened to reveal the personal information of the person who made the WWE wrestling meme showing Trump “body slamming” the CNN logo.
After weeks of embarrassing retractions, fake news and undercover videos showing their employees admitting Russian collusion stories are a “witch hunt” purely for ratings, CNN now feels that attacking average people who make jokes about them is a good idea for their image.
As has been proven in the past, each action CNN takes to attack Donald Trump or his movement have backfired horribly, as their latest attempts to blackmail a meme maker has resulted in a massive backlash against their organization. Internet message boards and forums have lit up with talks of a “CNN Meme War”, which has triggered a torrent of memes showing Trump defeating CNN’s logo in a variety of ways in a wide range of movies, television shows and cartoons. The hashtags #CNNBlackmail and #CNNMemeWar have quickly spread across social media.
First, the meme that started it all, which was shared on President Trump’s official @POTUS Twitter account and subsequently triggered CNN to respond.

Mike Cernovich posted a compilation of memes that came out following CNN’s assault on free speech and freedom of expression. If CNN thought they were going to bully and threaten online meme makers into not mocking them in the future, then they clearly do not understand the finer points of the Internet.
Here is another compilation from YouTuber Trump Nation, which has even more animations showing Trump conquering CNN in various ways.
The following animated GIF shows Donald Trump loading up a rocket launcher with a Tweet and firing it at CNN’s logo, which is an extremely accurate portrayal of what has been happening to their network as of late.
CNN clearly does not realize that when a giant billion dollar organization attacks a common person for simply making a joke about them, their intimidation tactics will only rally others to band together and fight back harder than before. Everyone likes to root for the underdog, and CNN’s brand of “Fake News” has already caused them to be viewed as an “enemy of the people” by millions across the nation.
It is becoming clear that the reporters running CNN are completely disconnected from reality, have no concept of what Americans think outside of their liberal safe space and are destroying their brand without even knowing it.
This makes sense from their perspective, as when their reporters come out and threaten to expose an average citizen’s private information, they’re all patting each other on the backs for a job well done. However, this is only occurring in their narrow social circles, as I’d wager the vast majority of American voters find it appalling for a powerful, faceless organization to threaten “the little guy” into issuing an apology for a simple joke.
CNN has wagered their entire brand on Donald Trump, and the fact is the president is the only thing keeping them afloat. Without Trump’s involvement in the media, their ratings would plummet and mass layoffs would quickly follow, as who would bother watching boring old political commentary after the excitement Trump has brought to politics?
