Tim Scott, a Black Republican Senator from South Carolina, took the time to read aloud a series of vile tweets sent to him by furious liberals after he voiced his support for Senator Jeff Session’s and his role as Attorney General.
Yesterday Tim Scott spoke out on the Senate floor, at first commenting on the use of rule 19 to prevent Elizabeth Warren from personally insulting Sessions, and continues to discuss issues of race. Around the middle of Scott’s speech he pauses to present a perfect example of racism in politics, although it wasn’t on the part of conservatives as the media and Democrats keep claiming, but instead was from liberals on social media who blasted Scott for daring to express his political opinions.
Senator Scott addresses what many conservatives have been experiencing for decades, consistently being branded racists for the slightest statement against the liberal norms, saying “Too often people on the right are found guilty until proven innocent on issues of race, issues of fairness.” Scott continues by stating:
“I’m use to being attacked. If you sign up as a Black conservative the chances are very high you will be attacked, it comes with the territory. But my friends and my staff are not use to the sort of animus that comes from the liberal left, who suggest that somehow I am not helpful to the cause of liberal America, and therefore am not helpful to the cause of Black America.”
Scott then proceeds to read from printed pages of Tweets he received regarding his support of Sessions for Attorney General, and the results are what conservatives have come to expect from the left. Here is a sampling of the comments Scott received from the every so “tolerant left”.
“Everyone in South Carolina knows Tim Scott has become an Uncle Tom”.
“Tim Scott is a 1hite man in a black body.”
“You are a disgrace to the black race.”
“You are an uncle Tom Scott, you’re for Sessions, how does a black man turn on his own?”
“Senator Tom is a house negro, like the one in Jango.”
“You are a disgrace to your race.”
The tweets also rage at Tim Scott’s Chief of Staff for being “High yella”, meaning she’s Black, but not Black enough.
The Senator pauses to make the distinct observation that, despite the left’s constant barrage of racial inequality sermons, the only Black Chief of Staff for any senator is employed by a Republican, and everyone in this position on the Democrat side is indeed white.
Senator Tim Scott says that he left out the many Tweets that included the “n word”, and the very people who are preaching tolerance refuse to practice tolerance themselves. Scott doesn’t express any surprise he says, because he’s been dealing with this sort of abuse from the left for 20 years.
Scott’s comments regarding race and the racist tweets he received start at around the 13:20 mark.
Senator Scott’s message should be clear and a wake up call to the race baiting tactics from the media/politicians, but something tells me the branding of conservatives as racists by the left will continue full steam ahead, since the Democrats have yet to demonstrate they are capable of any other strategy to counter their opponents.
