More celebrities are hoping to influence politics in order to diminish Donald Trump’s agenda as they attempt to convince both voters and Congress to fight every one of his policies.
In their latest video, these aging celebrities are demanding that Congress block Trump’s cabinet picks as they believe they will “threaten” the rights of minorities across the country.
“We demand that you block nominees who threaten the rights of women, the LGBT community, people of color, immigrants and the poor.”
Actors such as Sally Field, Steve Buscemi, Zoe Kazan, Jeffrey Wright, Keegan Michael-Key, Rosie Perez, Lea DeLaria and developer Bruce Ratner all reached out to plead with Congress to deny millions of American voters their decision to put faith in Donald Trump’s leadership, which includes his choices for cabinet positions.
Far left website Salon described this as a “star studded video”, but I suspect most people will have a hard time recognizing most of these actors or the media productions they have stared in.
In the video the actors refer to hate crimes related to Trump by saying, “Since he won, hate crimes are rising, women have been attacked in his name, people of color attacked in his name.”
These actors are right about one thing, hate crimes have been on the rise, but they have been perpetrated against Trump voters (or even just white people who violent thugs assume voted for Trump).
Perhaps these celebrities forget about these instances of innocent people being discriminated against, beaten and attacked because of their political opinions:
Many of the so called hate crimes against minorities, that the media claims are due to Donald Trump, have actually turned out to be hoaxes perpetrated by minorities in attempts to brand Trump supporters as violent racists.
Perhaps these actors and actresses should make a new video directed at those who are openly discriminating, suppressing or attacking Trump voters, most of whom are doing nothing more than wearing some pro-Trump apparel or attending his events. They should also be sure to include a message to minorities to stop making up fake hate crimes against Trump supporters, which the mainstream media uses to push their fake news claiming Trump is inspiring violence and racism.
This video shows the enormous disconnect between many celebrities and what is actually happening in America. It also implies that they consider their political opinions to be of such importance that Congress will make important decisions based on them.
Considering more famous celebrities such as Robert Downey Jr. and other cast members of The Avengers series produced a video during the election to try and sway voters against Trump, which failed to have any significant impact, I doubt this video by aging sitcom actors will have any effect on Trump’s success or his cabinet picks.
