It’s been almost a week since the presidential election, which Donald Trump won soundly, and many of his opponents are still having a meltdown over their loss.
Protesters have taken to the streets at night, disrupting traffic and destroying property, Trump voters have been assaulted and death threats have flooded social media. The hastag #AssassinateTrump was even allowed to trend on Twitter in the past days, even though anti-Hillary topics have routinely been suppressed.
Although many death threats against President-elect Donald Trump have been viewed as simply “ranting”, some particularly triggered individuals have taken it a step further by actually planning in detail their assassination attempt on him.
The_Donald on Reddit reported yesterday that CEO of PacketSled, Matt Harrigan, made a series of Facebook posts saying that he was “getting a sniper rifle” threatening to “kill the president elect” by perching himself where it counts and “finding a bedroom in the whitehouse that suits you…” (Warning: Foul language…where’s the liberal media’s outrage?)
After this post went viral, a backlash ensued on social media and PacketSled was forced to issue a statement stating that they take Matt Harrigan’s comments “seriously” and that they reported the incident to Secret Service. The CEO has also been placed on “administrative leave”, which translates to being suspended from his job while they investigate the situation.
The company clearly wants to distance themselves from their CEO after making wild treats against our future president and will undoubtedly be questioned by Secret Service.
Although PacketSled stated they are taking this situation seriously, Matt Harrigan has said that the death threats towards Trump were meant as a “joke”. Something tells me if he were to make this threat against President Obama, no one would be considering it a laughing matter. In fact, the CEO should know that any threat against a president is not a joke.
Not everyone is accepting their apology, and rightfully so, as I believe this Facebook user’s comment sums up the hypocrisy of Trump’s opponents the best.
In a complete turnaround, which was obviously only prompted by Harrigan’s suspension and being reported to the authorities, Truthfeed reported that he made a series of Tweets apologizing for his “flawed joke” and “lack of judgment”. Of course, anyone who actually read his original Facebook comments threatening the life of Donald Trump should have hard time believing his intent was just to joke around.
Thanks to alternative media, which the liberal press demonizes at every turn because it threatens their control of the narrative, Matt Harrigan has been exposed and will have to accept the consequences of his vile death threats towards a president-elect. Trump supporters will not stand idly by and allow enraged liberals, who claim to be champions of peace and tolerance, threaten our democratically elected president.
