To certain political and protest groups within our country the American flag is no longer a symbol of freedom and pride, but a stigma to be loathed. The Democratic party’s message has been pulled farther left this year than any year before, much of it contributed to Bernie Sander’s “Political Revolution.” Whether it be Trump protesters waving the Mexican flag and signs that say, “Make America Mexico Again,” or the flag of communist Russia, it seems that politics has taken a drastically anti-American turn…at least when it comes to the left.
Outside the convention, rally goers proudly carry the communist flag.
And inside the convention hall, I am sure nothing makes Hillary Clinton more proud than to gaze out to her fellow Democrats and not see a single American flag being waved.
Is it any wonder that many voters, even people who have been Democrats their entire lives, have responded to Donald Trump’s rallying cry of, “America First.” The Democratic party over the last decade has quickly morphed from representing the working class, to representing globalism and diversity. And by diversity, they mean less straight white people.
To illustrate the difference between anti-American and what patriotism looks like, all we need to do is look at the difference in stage designs from the DNC to the RNC.
I’m sure the Democrats don’t want to risk offending any illegal immigrants by portraying the American flag. Hillary is committed to pandering to illegal immigrants, and any immigrant who resents American values, so she might as well just line up every flag from the United Nations behind her when she speaks at the DNC.
