Hillary Clinton gave a statement immediately after the explosion in Chelsea, New York City, last night and cautioned against jumping to hasty conclusions.
Obviously this was an unexpected event, giving Clinton little time to prepare as she would at a rally or planned press conference, and as such we see her looking very sedated and almost lethargic.

Did they have to wake her up for this comment I wonder?
If you notice, her speech is much slower than we’ve seen at previous press conferences or events, there are numerous pauses between statements and she generally does not look very aware.
I hope this isn’t Hillary Clinton’s example of “powering through” a disaster, as she looks like she’s about to fall asleep.
Clinton supporters may consider this type of in-depth examination of her behaviors as unnecessary, but considering she collapsed less than a week ago and had to be lifted into her vehicle, it’s something that every journalist should be looking at very carefully from now on.
Donald Trump has often criticized his opponents as being ‘low energy”, specifically Jeb Bush, but this Clinton statement makes Jeb look like the energizer bunny!
Here’s a side-by-side comparison of the two candidate making their statements regarding the explosion last night, Trump was ready to take stage for an event in Colorado, while Clinton simply walked to the back of her plane where her press corps were waiting.
If you never saw Hillary Clinton before and you see her for the first time like this, would she strike you as someone who has the endurance to govern a country for the next 4 to 8 years?
An ironic portion of Hillary’s statement, is in the beginning she opens by saying:
“I’ve been briefed about the bombing since New York and New Jersey, and the attack in Minnesota…”
Then, later a reporter asks Clinton if she had any reactions to Donald Trump immediately calling the explosion in New York a “bomb”, which today we found out that he was perfectly accurate in his assessment anyways.
Although not saying Trump’s name directly, Clinton responds by saying “I think it’s important to know the facts about any incident like this…”
I guess the reporter didn’t remember that only a few seconds ago, Hillary Clinton had described the explosion in New York as a “bombing” already, in the exact same way that Donald Trump did. Only Trump was the first person to make this statement, which turned out to be accurate.
While Hillary is busy giving generic statements to the press, Donald Trump was being decisive and facing the situation head on, not worried about how the press would perceive his use of words.
At first, media outlets like CNN were posting articles with headlines like, “Trump says bomb went off in New York”, hoping he would be proved wrong and they could criticize him afterwards. The only problem was, he was absolutely right once again, as authorities have announced they believe the explosion was caused by a “pressure cooker bomb“.
NBC even made a snarky comment after they quoted Trump’s statement.
After waiting on his plane for about 13 minutes, he took the stage and reported what no news outlets or law enforcement had yet: that a “bomb” went off in New York City.
“Just before I got off the plane, a bomb went off in New York, and nobody knows exactly what’s going on, but boy, we are living in a time,” Trump said. Exactly how Trump learned of the incident is yet to be determined.
Once again, the media is proved wrong in their judgment of Trump, as he seems to out maneuver them at every turn. You can bet that if the explosion wasn’t a bomb, the mainstream media’s headlines would be flashing that Trump jumped to a hasty conclusion, and how could the nation trust him as president with comments like this.
