Marc Kasowitz, President Donald Trump’s personal attorney, intends to file a complaint with the Department of Justice regarding former FBI Director James Comey’s admission yesterday that he intentionally leaked his own memo to a “good friend”, who would then deliver it to the press.
Sources said, according to NBC News, that Marc Kasowitz will file the complaint with the DOJ’s Inspector General and the Senate Judiciary Committee after Comey stated Thursday he was behind the leaking of his memo. In a statement after Comey’s testimony Thursday afternoon, Kasowitz labeled Comey as “one of these leakers” who are “actively attempting to undermine the president” and strongly suggested that federal authorities investigate Comey’s leaks.
Although Kasowitz did not openly state that Comey could have been responsible, or at least complicit, in other leaks that have plagued the Trump administration in past months, it sounded as if he believed Comey may have had a part to play.
Comey had no issue admitting that he leaked his own memo, and even sounded proud of the fact, to a professor at Columbia Law School who would then leak the document to the press, all for the purpose of prompting the appointment of a special counsel.
The former FBI Director stated that Trump’s tweets, of all things, woke him up in the middle of the night and at that point he decided to leak his memo to the press through a third-party.
“The president tweeted on Friday, after I got fired, that I better hope there’s not tapes. I woke up in the middle of the night on Monday, because it didn’t dawn on my originally that there might be corroboration for our conversation, there might be a tape and my judgment was I needed to get that out to the public square. So I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter. I didn’t’ do it myself for a variety of reasons, but I asked him to because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel. And so I asked a close friend of mine to do it.”
When asked who this “friend” was that Comey leaked his own memo to, he responded, “A good friend of mine who’s a professor at Columbia Law School.”
President Trump took to Twitter very early this morning to comment on Comey’s “false statements and lies”, while also stating “Wow, Comey is a leaker!”
Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication…and WOW, Comey is a leaker!

Sure enough, none of that former Obama ethics Czar (which is an oxymoron in itself), Norm Eisen, warned that ethics watchdogs Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) would be coming to Comey’s rescue.
.@marckasowitz be v careful in using scorched earth litigating style of private law practice (I did it 2 at times, proudly), dangerous here

If this doesn’t indicate the politicization of James Comey, showing how deeply ingrained within the Washington establishment he really is, than I don’t know what will.
As the latest media and establishment offensive against Trump seems to have stalled, the anti-Trump forces are no doubt regrouping for their next attacks, which I suspect involves accusations of Russian collusion…again.
