Roger Stone, long time supporter and a former campaign manager for Donald Trump, said on C-SPAN today that Trump’s “guerilla” campaign is facing the long time well-oiled political machine of Hillary Clinton.
Stone also said he would continue to be publicly critical of former Trump campaign manager (and now paid CNN commentator) Corey Lewandowski if he continued to attack the campaign. Despite being fired from the campaign in June, Lewandowski has remained fiercely loyal to Trump and his candidacy.
Indeed, I tend agree with Stone’s assessment as I previously wrote, Clinton vs. Trump is like Redcoats vs. Patriots.
Trump’s campaign has even followed similar ups and downs that the Patriots of the American Revolution faced during their struggle against the British Crown. All seemed lost until the colonial army adopted guerilla tactics, proving extremely effective against the well trained, experienced British army. Trump has faced some successes, and some failures, but like George Washington he remains committed to his cause and continues to fight for the American people.
But will Donald Trump’s campaign achieve the same success that the American Revolution did in the end?
