For as much as we hear the slogan “Love Trump Hate” from anti-Trump protesters, we rarely see these demonstrators actually following through with the meaning of that phrase, especially at the inauguration day protests where a video has emerged of a young girl getting her hair lit on fire by a protester.
On the day after the inauguration hundreds of thousands of women descended on Washington D.C. for a demonstration that was suppose to be about unity and peace, yet Saturdays’ Women’s March in Washington D.C. turned into more a rage fest with Madonna cursing on live television, Ashley Judd reciting a vulgar poem about our new president and now video has emerged of a protester lighting a woman’s hair on fire who was there supporting Donald Trump.
The inauguration day protests were no different it seems.
In the following video a woman who was clearly part of the anti-Trump portion of the crowd sneaks up behind a pro-Trump girl posing to get her picture taken in front of the protester’s signs (not the Trump fan with the long braids, the one that follows). She very quickly slips her hand between the protester holding the sign and the girl in the blue Trump hat and flicks a lighter, setting the Trump fan’s hair on fire before a bystander puts it out.
Ironically, the crowd was chanting their favorite anti-Trump slogan of “Love Trump’s Hate” shortly before one of them set this young girl’s hair on fire. The incident starts at about the 1:05 mark in this video.
Due to the angle of the camera you may have to watch that portion of the video several times, but you can clearly see the protester’s arm reach towards the Trump supporter’s hair and then a moment later her hair is lit on fire. Thankfully someone noticed, a pro-Trump bystander, who quickly patted the fire out before more damage was done to this young girl’s hair.
The girl in the blue and white beanie is the one who sets the fire, and seems to have a sinister look on her face as if she’s just looking for trouble.
You can see the same protester’s hat along with her arm as the Trump supporter’s hair is being lit on fire.
Here is the protester’s hand with a lighter in it getting ready to light the girl’s hair on fire.
From the angle of the camera you can only get a brief glimpse of the flames, but you can clearly see a flash of yellow and smoke coming from the girl’s hair, until the man in the black Trump hat puts it out.
In yet more irony, the protesters are chanting “this is what democracy looks like” as a young girl’s hair is set aflame by a member of their demonstration. I have a feeling this isn’t what the Founding Fathers had in mind when they pictured democracy in action.
The sad part is, if this situation were the other way around we would be seeing 24/7 coverage with headlines blasting Trump supporters as violent. Instead, we only see stories claiming how large the crowd was and how “peaceful” the anti-Trump protesters were.
And to further illustrate the disaster that is often left in the wake of these anti-Trump protests, here are some pictures from the aftermath of Saturday’s Women’s March, showing the massive trail of garbage, debris and discarded signs that were carelessly left behind.

Correction: An earlier version of this story stated that the video was taken at the Women’s March on January 21st, but the video was actually taken during the inauguration day protests on January 20th. With so many different reasons protesters are coming up with to demonstrate against Donald Trump, it’s hard to keep track of them all.
