In response to the often violent anti-Trump protests taking place across the nation since Inauguration Day, a conservative grassroots organization is planning their own “Spirit of America” rally to show their support for the president’s policies.
Last week a violent protest broke out at U.C. Berkley in California in response to a conservative journalist, Milo Yiannopoulos, hosting a sold out speaking event on campus. Protesters proceeded to shut down the event by lighting buildings on fire, vandalizing property and attacking innocent bystanders.
Now, a group called Main Street Patriots, has organized a movement as a show of support for President Trump and his “America First” policies. Their rallies are set to take place around the country on February 27th and March 4th, which will act as a counter weight to planned, funded and often violent anti-Trump protests that have erupted lately.
We strongly support President Trump in his effort to put America First and we are holding small rallies to show support for President Trump’s policies
There was a spontaneous uprising of grassroots activists that voted for President Trump to find a way to let people know that we support his agenda. Unlike those protesting against President Trump’s vision, we are a diverse coalition that are the heart and soul of America that wants our nation to fulfill our potential, as the greatest nation on God’s green earth!
The rallies will be positive, patriotic, uplifting, and open to anyone that supports an America First agenda.
Rallies across the nation will take place on February 27th at 12:00 pm and March 4th. We expect many more states holding rallies will be added, so check back in a few days, when we will begin to list the locations. Contacts for the states are below.
If you would like to volunteer or organize a rally in a below state please contact the listed organizer. If you do not see a rally in your state and would like to host one email email@example.com.
Since the anti-Trump Women’s March that took place in Washington D.C. last month, Trump supporters have been looking for a way to rally and disprove the media driven narrative that Americans are “outraged” at the recent executive order banning travel from terrorism prone countries.
Debbie Dooley, a co-founder of the Tea Party and organizer of the Spirit of America rallies, told Breitbart News that the event is meant to be a “show of force among the silent majority”.
Dooley told Breitbart News that since the anti-Trump women’s march in D.C. after the president’s inauguration, she has received so many calls from Trump supporters–including many, many women Trump supporters–urging her to organize a show of force among the silent majority nationwide in response–that she had to turn off her cell phone so she could get work done. The Spirit of America rallies are not Tea Party rallies, she adds, and she hopes that Democrat groups backing Trump–there were many of them nationwide, forming a collective called the “Trumpocrats”–will get involved and step up to help the president, too. She also notes that the selection of Feb. 27 as the kickoff date of these pro-Trump rallies is significant, since that was the first day of the Tea Party movement back in 2009.
“I am proud to lead the charge here in Louisiana to get supporters of President Trump to show their support of his policy agenda through these Spirit of America rallies,” Col. Rob Maness, a retired Air Force colonel, founder of GatorPAC and two-time conservative Senate candidate in Louisiana who’s also involved in helping the rallies in his home state, added in the release. “Average citizens from across the political spectrum and all walks of life elected Mr. Trump and we at GatorPAC are especially pleased to help him with his national effort to Make America Great Again and #DrainTheSwamp priorities in Washington D.C.”
The mainstream media has attempted to brand Trump supporters as part of an “alt-right” group, despite a massive showing of grassroots support for his movement during the election, pushing the narrative that Trump voters hide only in the dark corners of the Internet while preaching a doctrine of hate.
The reality couldn’t be further from the truth, as an extremely diverse group of Americans rallied together to support Trump’s campaign, including many life long Democrats. An organization called the Trumpocrats PAC emerged during the election as a way for Democrats, who were disillusioned with the direction of their party, to make a stand against the extreme left’s policies while showing their support for Donald Trump.
Organizers for the Spirit of America rallies intend to create a patriotic display of support not just for President Trump, but also for American values, which have been largely displaced by liberal politician’s push for globalism over the years. I suspect these rallies will be significantly more peaceful than what we’ve seen from the anti-Trump protests this year, and will send a message to the media that Trump supporters are diverse, patriotic and dedicated to the vision of making America great again.
As liberals like Sarah Silverman are calling for a “military overthrow” of President Trump, hard working citizens who espouse American values are organizing peaceful demonstrations as a show of support for their country.
