At a rally in Reno, Nevada the Secret Service had to rush Republican candidate Donald Trump off the stage due to the threat of a protester in the audience with a gun.
About halfway into Donald Trump’s rally tonight, a protester in the crowd hold ups a negative sign as Donald Trump says, “Looks like we have one of those guys from the Hillary Clinton campaign. How much are you being paid, $1500?”
Trump continues his speech, but is distracted by the audience members yelling and struggling with the protester. One audience member can be heard shouting, “He’s got a gun!” Within a few seconds, two Secret Service agents rush towards Trump and escort him off the stage, yelling “Go, go!”
The crowd scattered immediately afterwards, until the police and Secret Service arrested the man with the firearm. Officers removed the man and placed him in a bathroom near a secure entrance where Trump’s motorcade and the press vehicles were staged. Two audience members told DailyMail that they had seen the man holding a firearm, although that hasn’t been officially confirmed by police.
The protestor is seen being escorted away by law enforcement, appearing to still be yelling, but his name has not yet been released.
Undeterred by this possible assassination attempt, Donald Trump took the stage about 5 minutes after this event had passed and said:
‘Nobody said it was going to be easy for us,’ Trump declared. ‘But we will never be stopped. Never, never be stopped.’
‘I want to thank the Secret Service. These guys are fantastic. They don’t get enough credit. They don’t get enough credit. They’re amazing people.’
‘You were amazing, fellas,’ he said.
‘I saw what you were doing. That’s a tough group of people right that… Nobody messes with our people, right?’
Trump, not missing a beat, continued to complete his rally, much to the excitement of the audience.

After the police and fellow audience members subdued the protester, the crowd moved backwards towards the press area and one person yelled “CNN sucks!” and “You people caused this”, referring to the extreme manner in which the mainstream media has portrayed Donald Trump. If enough unstable people hear the media claiming a presidential candidate is “literally Hitler” and needs to be “stopped at any cost”, then I it’s reasonable to assume it’s only a matter of time until someone makes an attempt on their life, which the media bares some responsibility for.
Never a dull moment in this election, and with only a few days to go until the polls open, I don’t think there’s any headline that would shock me anymore. Actually, if I saw a headline such as “Hillary Clinton in Handcuffs, FBI Makes Multiple Arrests”, that would surprise me because it would mean that our Department of Justice decided to start doing their job and enforcing the law regardless of someone’s political status.
