I can already see the future, decades from now the white male will be the minority and groups of liberal politicians will be working on laws to give them equal opportunities. Sound crazy? 50 years ago you would never imagine seeing a help wanted advertisement stating that they don’t want any white males to apply. Reverse discrimination anyone?
A recent social media post left no doubt that the website SB Nation is most interested in hiring a minority, not whoever may be qualified for the position regardless of race. This is actually the very definition of racism. Discriminating against another person because of their race, creed, sex, etc…
I wish SB Nation would explain what is so appalling about what they consider “too many” white men in the field of baseball writing. Do they think its some deep seeded conspiracy? Or maybe, more likely, its just that more white guys are interested in baseball than others, and thus the large proportion of them reporting on the sport. No, that can’t be it, that just makes too much sense for today’s society.
Ironically, this sports website is guilty of racism and sexism, discriminating against both whites and males.
The Daily Caller reports:
SB Nation is looking to hire more writers for “Beyond the Box Score,” but apparently they’re not overly interested in white guys.
They posted a jobs announcement on Twitter seeking potential new writers stating, “We’re also passionate about making online baseball writing a more welcoming and diverse place.”

One section of the job description says, “At BtBS, we’re troubled by the fact that the online baseball writing community is over-populated by young white men. If you’re a member of a group that is under-represented in baseball media, we would love for you to apply and help us change that.”
