The latest WikiLeaks email dump includes a treasure trove of communications from the DNC, and confirms what the majority of Bernie Sander’s fan’s already knew, that the leadership within the DNC had conspired to undermine the effectiveness of his campaign. The DNC had already chosen their Democratic party champion for the 2016 presidential election, and it was not Bernie Sanders, no matter how many people may have wanted him to succeed.
Bernie Sanders made it far, considering the forces that were against him, but unlike Donald Trump, he was not able to completely route the power structure of the Democratic party.
The Bernie Sanders “Political Revolution” was nothing more than a sideshow for those in charge, whether he was fully aware of this or not, and the end result was always going to be Hillary Clinton as the Democratic party’s nominee. When it looked like he was getting a little too close to overtaking the Clinton campaign, the DNC started brainstorming on ideas to suppress his ability to gain voters.
In politics, there are no depths too low for opponents to sink, even attacking Bernie Sander’s religion:
In the thousands of internal e-mails, it was revealed that a Democratic Party official tried to use Bernie Sanders’ supposed religious beliefs to derail his presidential campaign; one staffer pitched an idea for a phony sexist Trump ad and DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz tried to score a staggering seven tickets to the Broadway smash “Hamilton.”
The suggestion of going after Sanders based on religion was included in one of 19,252 e-mails.
In one message dated May 5, 2016, with the subject line “No s–t,” the chief financial officer of the Democratic National Committee, Brad Marshall, plotted how to portray Sanders, who was raised Jewish in Brooklyn, as an atheist.
“It might [make] no difference, but for KY and WVA can we get someone to ask his belief,” Marshall wrote, apparently referring to Sanders and upcoming Kentucky and West Virginia primaries.
“Does he believe in a God. He had skated on saying he has a Jewish heritage,’’ Marshall asked.
“I think I read he is an atheist.”
“This could make several points difference with my peeps. My Southern Baptist peeps would draw a big difference between a Jew and atheist.”
The chief executive officer at the DNC, Amy Dacey, responded with a single word: “Amen.”
The DNC was supposed to be neutral in the primary between Clinton and the Vermont senator.
But the e-mails confirm the party establishment was in the tank for Clinton long before the primaries were decided.
And top DNC officials were not happy when they were called out for taking sides.
Wasserman Schultz sent an e-mail to NBC anchor Chuck Todd complaining about MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski, who was calling for her to resign for taking sides in an intra-party battle.
The subject line read: “Chuck, this must stop!”
In another e-mail, dated May 21, 2016, DNC press secretary Mark Paustenbach wrote to communications director Luis Miranda suggesting they plant a story that the Sanders campaign was in chaos.
“Specifically, [Wasserman Schultz] had to call Bernie directly in order to get the campaign to do things because they’d either ignored or forgotten something critical,” Paustenbach wrote.
“It’s not a DNC conspiracy, it’s because they never had their act together,” he wrote.
The DNC is suppose to have been a neutral party, just like the RNC, and not favor one candidate over another. Anyone who has been paying attention at all this election season knows that’s not the case, and was never the case for any political party.
Donald Trump succeeded where Bernie did not for one reason. He didn’t just fight the political establishment, he conquered them.
Using the media, brutal honesty and a willingness to say things that other politicians would consider to be insane, Donald Trump created enough supporter throughout the voter base that the establishment politicians could not mount an effective defense. In fact, by the time they took Trump’s campaign seriously, it was already too late, and played to Trump’s advantage. He did not give up and never gave in to media or political pressures. Trump never apologized and sunk back into the depths of negative polling, as any normal politician would have done.
Do you know why Trump was unphased by the brutal onslaught of negative media and political attacks? Because he’s not a politician and had nothing to lose from his attempt at the presidential candidacy.
For all of Bernie’s speeches, supporters and fiery words, he is still a politician and relies upon his party for support, as well as his livelihood.
If Bernie had refused to support Hillary Clinton, or run a third party as many of his supporters would have liked, he knows full well he would be ostracized by not just his party, but the entire Obama administration. He would have brought down ruin upon himself and his family. Sanders may have challenged his political party, and maybe his fans think that by capitulating to Clinton he will gain sway over her policies and move them further left, but the reality is that Clinton will only put into action what her donors condone. She may say the words that Sander’s supporters like to hear, but as even public polling shows, the American people find her absurdly dishonest.
Hillary Clinton follows her own desires and her only politicall strategy is to say the words that focus groups find the public most want to hear in order to vote for her. Bernie Sanders will have no influence in the actions she takes as president.
The only revolutionary that has a real possibility at changing a political power structure, is one that is willing to risk it all, including their life, to achieve such a change.
For all you Bernie fans out there, as much as he rallied against the status quo, he was never going to win and, at best, he will receive a consolation position within Hillary’s campaign. He will only be rewarded if he submits to the will of the DNC, and Hillary Clinton, which he already has. There are no secret codes in his speeches from now on, there are no subtle hints he is communicating to his supporters, there is only what he is being told to do.
For those who have a true desire to see change within America’s establishment politics, corporate elite and government power structure the only choice left now is Donald Trump. You may not agree with all of his positions and may cringe at some of the off-the-cuff remarks he makes, but the reality is that he is the only one capable of stopping the complete transformation of our country into an oligarchy for the elite.
In 1776, our founding fathers were willing to put their lives, their families and their future’s on the line in order to pursue a belief and overthrow an oppressive government. They did not consider their fortunes or their fates should they fail to be determining factors in their decision to rebel. Those who did consider those facts, did not sign the document that gave birth to our great nation and many who chose not to join the cause would end up becoming stay loyalists to the British Crown.
Donald Trump has claimed victory in the battle against the elites within his own party. Mitt Romney, John McCain, Paul Ryan and many more who were thought to be the deciding voices in their party. Now the real war for the future of our republic commences as Trump faces not just the Clinton campaign and DNC organization, but also the entire government power structure of Barack Obama.
Anyone who tells you that they can predict the outcome of this movement with absolute accuracy is deluded. The British did not simply walk away when a large portion of the population rebelled, and neither will those in power who stand to lose that power if Donald Trump gets elected. He is risking far more than his reputation and his money. His family and his close supporters know the risks, yet they are willing to lend their support to his movement because they know what is at stake. This isn’t just another election to determine policy, it’s a fight for the survival of the American culture against the forces of globalism and conformity.
This election isn’t just another battle between Republican’s and Democrats, and which lobbyists get to control the next 4 to 8 years, it will be the deciding factor in whether we as a nation cast off the chains of corporate control, or allow the elite to continue to sell our country to the highest bidder.
