Wikileaks email dump continues as more graphic revelations are revealed regarding Hillary Clinton’s inner circle and her campaign’s private thoughts about aspects of the American public. John Podesta, Clinton’s Campaign Chairman, had a treasure trove of emails hacked that include private correspondence with mainstream media reporters, donors and political support organizations. This particularly volatile email chain released by Wikileaks shows correspondence to John Podesta from John Haplin of the Center of the American Progress, a left wing think-tank dedicated to advancing the Democrat’s liberal agenda.
In these latest Wikileaks emails, it shows the original email sent from John Haplin to both John Podesta and Jennifer Palmieri (Clinton’s Communications Director) with the subject “Conservative Catholics”.
Any time you see a subject line like that within an email chain between staunch liberals, you can pretty much gather that the email’s content is going to be very negative.
Haplin references an article in the New Yorker that talked about Rupurt Murdoch raising his kid’s catholic and stated “Friggin’ Murdoch baptized his kids in Jordan where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.”
The email continues:
Many of the most powerful elements of the conservative movement are all Catholic (many converts) from the SC and think tanks to the media and social groups.
It’s an amazing bastardization of the faith. They must be attracted to the systematic thought and severely backwards gender relations and must be totally unaware of Christian democracy.
Haplin seems to imply that Catholics do not understand “Christian democracy”, which he must believe is a new liberal form of Christianity that is socially acceptable to Democrats. He specifically comments on what he describes are “severely backwards gender relations” within the Catholic faith, most likely referring to their non-acceptance of gay marriage, something that many Catholic Democrats have fully embraced.
Jennifer Palmieri responds to Haplin’s email by saying:
I imagine they think it is the most socially acceptable politically conservative religion. Their rich friends wouldn’t understand if they became evangelicals.
It seems as if Jennifer is implying that those who wish to be political conservatives are only using the Catholic faith to boost their social standing within their core group of supporters and political colleagues.
This blatant disregard for members of the Catholic and Evangelical faiths from the Clinton campaign should come as no surprise, as she has made it abundantly clear in her policies that she has no respect for Christians in our country or abroad.
Will Hillary Clinton publically disavow these statements by her colleagues and come to the defense of American Catholics? Not likely. Or, as Clinton says, “What difference at this point does it make?” Although I have a sneaking suspicion that if emails were leaked showing her aides bashing a certain minority religion within the United States, it would be a very different story.
Megan Kelly of Fox News reported on this specific Wikileaks email on during her nightly segment, which was titled “Top Clinton Aides Mock Catholicism“. Her segment can be viewed below:
